One of the many mountains close to Vancouver British Columbia in Western Canada is Grouse Mountain. It is an easy drive to the chairlift parking and then a fascinating ride in the cable gondola up the face of the mountain to the top, where there are all sorts of facilities and interesting things to see and do - as well as skiing, of course. A visit at night is a very rewarding experience and everything looks so different then, including the view of Vancouver down below with its lights.
