Summer where I live was just beautiful, with many warm sunny days and the nights a little cooler but still comfortable. We will remember them with pleasure. Now the air is cooler, a little rain has fallen and the tree leaves are changing colour and producing fruit and berries including the Horse Chestnut. With its distinctive spiked shell that opens up to reveal the shiny dark brown fruit inside as it dries out, it is a common sight and a sign of coming Fall and Winter.
