One day a small seed, borne on the wind, fell into a crevice in the paving. You would have thought, if it was a lot like some of us, that it would have just sat there complaining about its bad luck to land in such a predicament and not try to do anything about it. But it welcomed the rain, managed to avoid car tires and footsteps, set down some roots and mustered all its strength to fulfil its destiny and produce some seeds to continue the species. I guess we could all learn something from it.
