The other day it was a very pleasant warm evening, giving an invitation to go for a walk and enjoy the gardens. The fountain was playing after its repainting during the winter and the roses were just on the verge of bursting out of their buds, the grass was newly cut giving off that unmistakeable smell and the hedge was covered with small blue flowers with their very strong fragrance that seemed to attract the bees. The seat was a welcome feature to those ready for a rest and some quiet contemplation before proceeding through the trellis archway back home.
