Thurber's dog

James Thurber (1894 - 1961) is well known and enjoyed not only for his writings and cartoons in The New Yorker magazine over many years, but more particularly for his dogs - a breed much loved by his readers.  Thurber's dogs are thinkers, as can be readily appreciated by their look of intense concentration and furrowed brow.  Of course, what they are actually thinking about is beyond mere human's ability to comprehend, but one can only assume that it is something requiring serious comtemplation (at least for a dog).  Thankyou, James, for many laughs.
