RIP

Well, it had to happen sometime I suppose, but it is rather like losing an old friend. Time finally caught up with my desktop computer which started showing signs of impending doom and spurred me on to thinking about a replacement. But its timing was excellent - my birthday arrived and my family all contributed to a new laptop as a gift! There was just enough life left in the old desktop to transfer data over, but I must say it took me a week or so before I finally got up the courage to cut the umbilical cord and go completely laptop. We shall see, but the initial reaction is very positive and I am looking forward to a long and happy association!
