Blooming lovely

It seems a bit late to see blooming flowers outside at this time of year in the Northern hemisphere - almost the end of October. But here was this pot of flowers at our extensive local gardens (Butchart Gardens, a very popular place to visit all year round and much frequented by the tourist industry), next to a flight of steps with a metal handrail. I don't usually take photos of flowers these days, I have so many on my hard drive already, but this could not be ignored!
