Here is an excellent free program from the creators of CCleaner for recovering data that you have deleted unintentionally. It is called recuva. With this program, you can undelete files, recover from damaged or formatted disks, recover emails and iPod music and so on. Check it out.
It is a good idea to download it to a USB stick where it can be held ready for use when it is needed, rather than putting it onto your hard drive. And while you are in the program site, take a look at defraggler, another very useful thing to have and use. You never know when you might need these tools, so have them available.
