We have a Rock Shop at the waterfront where we live - a very interesting place, not only for adults who want a gift or a decoration, but also for children. All children seem to like rocks, especially if they are shiny and brightly coloured and I can well remember scouring the beach in search of some unique (so I thought) rock, which was then carefully washed in sea water to enhance the colours and then carried home in the bucket along with bits of seaweed, dead crabs, bits of driftwood and other treasures. I wonder what happened to them all, they just seemed to disappear!
