Harvest time is an opportunity for all the local folks to get together and celebrate a productive year. In my area of Canada, the event takes place at Heritage Acres which has lots of old buildings, farming equipment, farm related antiques and artifacts, a small scale railway for taking rides on and, of course, corn on the cob, hot dogs and other delights eaten in the open air. It is a time for remembering childhood and getting together thankful for another harvest brought home.
